These pictures capture the scene at Everton’s new stadium this morning after heavy snowfall left the city blanketed in white. Construction of the 52,888 capacity future home of The Blues by the banks of the Mersey recently saw a major milestone as the Friedkin Group were able to formally receive the keys to the Bramley-Moore Dock site from contractors Laing O’Rourke.
The stadium, located at Bramley-Moore Dock, will be the beating heart of the ambitious £5.5bn Liverpool Waters scheme, which will transform the derelict dock spaces and breathe new life into an historic part of the city landscape. Liverpool Waters – the biggest regeneration scheme in the north west of England – will play a significant part in future matchdays and the further regeneration of north Liverpool.
Everton will play their competitive fixture at their new stadium in August 2025, in decidedly different weather conditions to today’s heavy snowfall. Pictures shared by Everton FC showed the stadium blanketed in white, with a crisp layer of snow covered the untouched walkways around the ground.
Illuminated in brilliant blue light, the colours of the new stadium stood in stark contrast against the white snowy skies of Liverpool’s waterfront this morning. These photos show the stadium transformed into a wintery scene.
