Closures on the A180 will continue from next week while concrete surface repair work is carried out.
National Highways is carrying out “specialist repairs and maintenance” on the dual carriageway in northern Lincolnshire between Barnetby Top and Brocklesby Interchange to “maintain the existing concrete surface and keep safe journeys on the route for at least a further five years”. Road markings and studs are also being refreshed.
A series of full overnight closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am on the westbound side from Monday, January 13 until Friday, January 24, and on the eastbound carriageway from Monday, January 27, until the end of February. A single lane closure will also be in place during the daytime to allow concrete to cure.
All dates are “subject to change due to weather conditions” and fully-signed diversions will be in place during full closures.
National Highways is urging motorists to “follow the signed diversions and do not rely on satnavs”, and is reminding drivers there is a weight limit of 7.5 tonnes for vehicles travelling through Ulceby and other village in the Ferry Ward area, except for loading and unloading.
