A driver was left in a serious condition after the car he was travelling in crashed into a bridge in Worcestershire. The motorist, in his 40s, was badly hurt as a black Audi A3 collided on Bilford Road, Worcester on New Year’s Eve.
The incident took place on Tuesday, December 31 at around 9.05pm. Police have now launched an appeal for information urging anyone who has dashcam footage – particularly of the car “moments before” the crash – to get in touch.
West Mercia Police said no one else was involved or injured in the incident. The driver remained in a serious condition in hospital on Monday, January 6 when the witness appeal was issued.

The full appeal read: “Officers are appealing for information following a collision in Worcester on Tuesday 31 December, which has left a man in a serious condition.
“At around 9.05pm, a black Audi A3 was travelling along Bilford Road before colliding with a bridge. The driver, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition. No one else was involved or injured.
