A Northumberland man was in the dock accused of having child sex abuse images.
Eyton Parker was alleged to have collected the photos over a three-year period between 2019 and 2022. A court heard that the 48-year-old was suspected of having a total of 84 pictures, including two of category A, which are the most serious kind and involve penetrative sexual activity.
Parker, of Kings Gardens, in Blyth, is also accused of having extreme porn, which involved a woman and a cow. Parker was in the dock at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court this week, where he withheld his pleas to two counts of making indecent images of a child and one of possessing extreme pornography.
Glenda Beck, prosecuting, said: “The prosecution represents that this matter is suitable for summary trial. The defendant is charged, between October 2019 and October 2022, with possession of indecent images, 82 category C and two category A.
“There is also an extreme pornographic image. Given the lesser number of category A images in the allegations, the case would be suitable to be heard here.”

Magistrates accepted jurisdiction but Parker elected to have his case heard at the crown court. He was released on unconditional bail to next appear at Newcastle Crown Court on February 4.
