A car has veered onto Aberdeen beach in a dramatic crash yesterday evening.
The incident happened at the Esplanade by the beachfront at around 5.25pm on Tuesday (January 7). The car crashed through the barriers and down the grass embankment before coming to a stop on the sand.
Emergency services, including officers for Police Scotland, rushed to the scene shortly after the incident occurred. The force confirmed that arrangements are underway for the car to be recovered.
The driver of the car was checked by medical staff. The full extent of any injuries is not currently known at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.25pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, we were called to a report of a road crash involving one car at Esplanade, Aberdeen.
“The driver was checked by medical staff. Arrangements for the vehicle to be recovered is underway.”
