A missionary from America decided to make the harsh voyage to the ‘world’s most dangerous island’ which is untouched by modern society, but was murdered before he could explore

The final message from a man entering the ‘world’s most dangerous island’ has been revealed, just moments before his murder.
North Sentinel Island, one of the Andaman Islands, an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal, hosts just a few hundred people and has an outright ban on visitors for fear disease could spread and ravage the population. A tribe who live on the island will kill anybody who strays too close. Attempts to contact islanders have more recently ended in death for the explorers, and this man was no exception.
A missionary from American, John Allen Chau, ignored these stark figures and decided to embark on his own journey to the 23-square-mile island. He was hoping to spread the world of Jesus and try and introduce the non-contacted islanders to a life of religion.
The Sentinelese have never been in contact with modern civilisation
However, the Sentinelese, who have lived in isolation for more than 60,000 years and have not experience modern civilisation, appeared to kill him. The diary of John has since been recovered, and recounted his experience on the island shortly before his death.
Most notably, he told his family and friends to “not be angry” and the tribe or God if he got “killed.” John arrived to the shoreline via boat. In his diary, he detailed that he brought fish as a gift to prove he wasn’t a threat.
But the missionary was met with several arrows being shot at him. In his diary, he wrote: “I hollered: ‘My name is John, I love you and Jesus loves you’.
“I regret I began to panic slightly as I saw them string arrows in their bows. I picked up the fish and threw it towards them. They kept coming. I paddled like I never have in my life back to the boat.”

Despite this, John tried to approach the islanders once more. It also didn’t go to plan, but it was the third attempt which saw the American killed by the islanders.
Two days after the initial attempt, he was reportedly shot and killed. The fisherman who helped him travel to the island detailed the event, and even added that he supposedly saw the Sentinelese recover and drag his dead body along the beach and try to bury it.
John’s body has never been recovered, despite officials from India attempting. Later on, seven people, including the fisherman who helped him across, were arrested in connection with John’s death.
Just his diary and a photo remain of the missionary. Weeks before his end, shared photos on Instagram of his travels. The last photo off him was a selfie with a fisherman on a boat at sea. He captioned the pictures: “Kayaking the tropics in this endless summer.”
