Crash at busy Coventry junction leaves two women hurt

Two women were left injured in a crash at a busy junction in Coventry. It happened at the junction of Poole Road and Moseley Avenue yesterday afternoon (January 6).

Paramedics rushed to the scene of the two-car crash at around 5.15pm. Crews found that a woman, the driver of one of the cars, had sustained minor injuries.

A second woman, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was found to have sustained potentially serious injuries. She received treatment at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Coventry.

In a statement issued today (December 7), West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a two-car RTC at the junction of Poole Road and Moseley Avenue in Coventry at 5.13pm yesterday (January 6). Crews assessed the driver of one car, a woman, who had sustained minor injuries.

“She was discharged. A female passenger from one car sustained potentially serious injuries and was given treatment on scene before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further checks.”
