As The Traitors returns to our screens this evening for a fresh batch of banishment and betrayal at the round table, we want to know how you feel about the latest series.
The gripping BBC show has been hit with bullying complaints after Kas Ahmed was ‘isolated’ and singled out by his co-stars. It came after the group suspected he was a Traitor due to his profession as a doctor, with contestant Jake Brown stating: “Saving lives during the day then killing Faithfuls at night”.
In heartbreaking scenes, viewers watched as Kas excused himself during dinner after Tyler Smith refused to air his theories until the doctor had left the room. Defending himself at his last round table, Kas confessed that he felt isolated in the castle due to being ostracised by the other contestants.
Newly-arrived Faithful Fozia Fazil questioned Kas on why he had already given up, to which he responded: “I can’t play the game. Most people are avoiding me completely.” Another uncomfortable moment occurred when Joe Scott compared him to a politician with “no substance”, before he was banished from the castle.
Viewers were quick to blast the contestants for their treatment of Kas, as one X user penned: “Kas saying he hasn’t been able to come up with theories because most people are avoiding him everyday and they STILL accuse him and vote him out this poor guy.”
Another shared: “I can’t believe we lost Kas when he was literally being a nice man and so many of them were mean to him,” as a third voiced: “The way he was shunned by the group was horrible. He deserved better.”
Speaking about his experience, the reality star told the Mirror : “It was quite isolating in the last couple of days because there was a few times where I’d go into rooms and people would go quiet, or I’d go to get a cup of tea and it was obvious people were talking about me. So, that was tough because I couldn’t really speak to people.”
However, he revealed that all is forgiven, particularly after he received some apologies. “As soon as I left, everybody texted me and said ‘we feel so awful’ and apologised, I didn’t even know they had my number! But I completely understood and it was just the game, people were playing the way they thought was right and they had suspicions on me.”
In recent episodes, a new bullying controversy has emerged, with viewers accusing the group of unfairly targeting Freddie Fraser. It comes after Livi Deane was determined to get her co-star kicked off the show, as she was convinced he was a Traitor.
This resulted in a shout down between the pair, and many accused her of unfairly picking on Freddie. After the broadcast of the scenes, one fan wrote on X: “What’s wrong with this Livi girl? It’s a game and she’s making it personal.”
