Doorbell camera catches Spider-Man ‘stalker’ dropping off mystery packages

Sussex Police are appealing for any information or witnesses after a stalker wearing a Spider-Man mask was caught on a doorbell camera leaving suspicious packages outside a property in Hailsham, Sussex

An alleged stalker dressed up as Spider-Man was caught on a doorbell camera, police have reported.

Disturbing CCTV footage released by Sussex Police shows the mask-wearing suspect leaving unwanted packages outside a property in Hailsham, Sussex.

Police said there has been a series of reports of concerning behaviour, and the first incident occurred back on February 13.

The mysterious suspect was first caught on the doorbell camera on August 26, approaching the property on Western Road near Hailsham at 5:30am, covering his face with the Spider-Man mask.

The latest contact was on December 29, when the suspect was caught again leaving a suspicious package, but this time in a white mask.

It is not disclosed what is inside the package, but Sussex Police are urging anyone with any information or any witnesses in the area to come forward to assist their investigation.

The police began the investigation after a series of reports of concerning behaviour, which span almost a whole year in the quiet town of Hailsham Sussex.

Sussex officers say the stalking reports allege the individual left at least three packages at the door of a home in the town.

A spokesperson from Sussex police said: “Enquiries into these incidents are ongoing, and we are asking anyone with information to report it to police.

“If you have CCTV, photos or witnessed anything suspicious in the area, you can contact police by filling an online reporting form, or by calling 101 quoting Operation Cursor.”
