Edinburgh teenager terrified after road rage driver ‘shatters windscreen’ with punch

An Edinburgh teenager was left “very scared” after a man allegedly punched and shattered her windscreen in a fit of rage.

The 18-year-old woman had only just passed her test when the incident took place in the city’s Morningside on Sunday night, January 5, which left her “shaken and confused.”

According to the woman, who asked not to be named, she pulled out of Cluny Avenue onto Morningside Road when a driver behind her proceeded to beep his horn.

As she pulled onto the nearby Maxwell Street, she claims the man overtook her and blocked her from moving any further before storming out and screaming at her window.

As he was about to leave, the man reportedly turned back around and punched the woman’s windscreen, leaving it shattered.
