A young woman from Essex has been arrested after the death of another Essex woman in Sussex on New Year’s Eve. Emergency services rushed to a location near Eastbourne following a report of concern for a woman’s welfare at about 5.20pm.
Police and ambulance colleagues attended the scene. Sadly the body of a woman, 23, from Essex, was found at the scene.
Sussex Police are not treating the death as suspicious. The woman’s next of kin have been informed.

Another woman from Essex, also 23, has been arrested by officers on suspicion of intentionally doing an act capable of encouraging or assisting the suicide of another. She has been bailed pending further investigation.
