Fortnight of overnight A30 closures at new Chiverton junction in Truro

More overnight closures are planned for the A30 so that National Highways can carry out work to the new Chiverton junction. The closures will be in place for nearly two weeks later this month.

This affects motorists who use the A road on weeknights. The Chiverton gyratory and all of its slip roads will be closed between 8pm and 6am.

The closures will be in place from Tuesday, January 14, to Friday, January 17 and again from Monday, January 20, to Friday, January 24. Cornwall Council says diversion routes will be in place for access to and from Truro and other locations.

Through traffic on the A30 dual carriageway will not be affected. Motorists are being told to “please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journeys.”

The National Highways website states both the A30 eastbound and westbound Chiverton exit slip roads will be closed for the Chiverton to Carland improvement scheme.

The eastbound diversion is to exit at Chybucca, use the B3284 and then the A3075. For westbound motorists, exit at Scorrier, use the A3047, Wheat Busy Loop and then the B3277.
