A number of bus diversions are in place in Birmingham today after snow fell across the city overnight. National Express said services have been affected due to “difficult road conditions and low temperatures”.
The bus firm warned passengers to “travel safe”. The Met Office has issued both a yellow and an amber severe weather alert warning for snow and ice in the West Midlands today.
The amber warning, which means travel delays and road closures are likely, is set to last until midday today. A less severe yellow warning will be in place from midday.
