More than a dozen flood warnings are in place across Lincolnshire as well as nearly 20 flood alerts. The Met Office has warned that the recent heavy rainfall and thawing snow may lead to flooding and travel disruption in some places.
As of 8.30am on Monday, January 6, there are 16 flood warnings in place for the county, which means flooding is expected and residents in these areas should act now. These warnings include for the Barlings Eau in Langworth, Foston Beck from Sedgebrook to the A1 and the Low Barlings and the Short Ferry area.
There are also 18 flood alerts in place. A flood alert means that flooding is possible in an area and people should prepare. A yellow weather warning for rain remains in place across the region until 10am, with further rain expected until noon.
