A boy has been rushed to hospital after being allegedly hit by a car on a busy street in Glasgow.
Emergency services scrambled to Paisley Road West, near Midlock Street, shortly after 5pm on Wednesday to reports of a road crash involving a car and pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a young boy, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old male driver was arrested and charged in connection. A report will now be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.10pm on Wednesday, 8 January 2025, police were called to a report of a road crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Paisley Road West, near Midlock Street, Glasgow.
“The pedestrian, a young boy, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man, was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
