A leading Plymouth adult education provider is putting on a huge open day to showcase the courses it has on offer – and 90 of them are completely free.
On Course South West has celebrated a successful year, which has been marked by significant achievements in community outreach, learner outcomes, and innovative programme offerings.
This included supporting over 5,000 adults and young people with courses, qualifications and life-changing opportunities and achieving a 100 per cent pass rate in GCSEs across Maths, English and Science.
A spokesperson said: “OCSW has demonstrated its dedication to addressing social inequality and providing opportunities for those who need it most.
“With an outstanding 92 per cent achievement rate and a 98 per cent retention rate, the organisation continues to support learners in meeting their goals and gaining valuable qualifications.”
An adult skills open day will be held at Hyde Park House in Mutley, on January 18 between 10.30am and 1pm. Refreshments will be provided. The event will showcase the wide range of courses and opportunities available.
“We are immensely proud of our achievements this year and the positive impact we’ve had on the lives of thousands of learners in Plymouth,” said Mark Trewin, Principal of On Course South West.
“Our success is a testament to the dedication of our staff, the resilience of our learners, and the strong partnerships we’ve built within the community. We look forward to welcoming prospective learners to our Open Day and continuing to provide high-quality, accessible education for all.”
