Police officers are searching for a group of suspects who fled the scene of a burglary near Cheltenham just after Christmas. It is believed that five people burgled a property before driving off in a ‘convoy’ on the A40 between Charlton Kings and Andoversford on Friday, December 27.
Officers are appealing for dashcam footage in particular, and are keen to hear from anyone who saw one or more vehicles being driven dangerously between 4-9pm. They are also asking for information about any cars that appeared to be driving in convoy.
According to Gloucestershire Police, those involved may have attempted to conceal themselves using face coverings and hats. The occupants of the vehicles are though to have been involved in a burglary earlier that day and officers would like to speak to them in connection with the incident.
Gloucestershire Police said: “Police are appealing for dashcam footage in a bid to identify suspected burglars who fled the scene of a crime near Cheltenham in multiple vehicles. The incident happened last week and officers would like to speak to anyone who saw either one or more vehicles being driven erratically or in a dangerous manner on the A40 between 4pm and 9pm on Friday 27 December.
“Alternatively, they are keen to hear about any cars that appeared to be being driven in convoy between Charlton Kings and Andoversford. It is believed that those involved may have been attempting to conceal themselves using face coverings and hats.
“It is believed that the occupants of the cars may have been involved in a burglary at a premises earlier that day. Officers would like to speak to them in connection with the incident, which involved five people who fled with stolen items.
