A Leeds woman who breached a restraining order by going to a couple’s home has been told she could face prison.
Larna Jones, 36, was made the subject of the restraining order and told she was not allowed the contact the couple or attend at their Middleton home in July 2023 after being convicted of stalking.
However, Leeds Crown Court heard on Thursday that she breached that order on December 12, last year. She went on to admit harassment by breach of a restraining order at an earlier hearing.
Prosecutor Jordan Millican told the court: “She went there and they let her in because she had no where else to go. They began to argue and the man asked her to leave and she refused and he contacted the police. She was there for an hour before police arrived and she was arrested and taken to custody.”
It was said that Jones – who appeared in court over a video link from HMP New Hall – had 12 previous convictions for 17 offences, including stalking and breaching court orders.
Mitigating, Stuart Field said Jones, of Raynville Terrace in Leeds, had poor mental health issues. His Honour Judge Batty said she had also used drink and drugs.

Mr Field said: “One of the things she tells me is about the state of her mental health at the time and she wasn’t on any anti-psychotic medication. It appears she should have been and through no fault of hers, she wasn’t.
“She was certainly in a bad state at the time of the commission of the offence. She was released around September without any address to go to and was living as homeless and was then somewhat in a state of desperation by December. Having fallen back into alcohol and drugs and not being treated for her mental health condition, in desperation she went to the house, which clearly she shouldn’t have and in sympathy or whatever, let her in.”
Judge Batty adjourned the case for four weeks and said: “I’m going to see where you go now. On the face of it, I have to lock her up, but she’d do another five month but then will come out with nothing – no assistance – but I’m not sure where that takes us. She has clearly got issues and this is not a situation where she has gone around to kick off.”
