Major rail disruption live as trains cancelled to Liverpool Lime Street

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and London Euston are facing delays and cancellations following an incident. “Major disruption” is expected between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston until 4pm on Wednesday, January 15 due to emergency services dealing with an earlier incident.

National Rail said some lines have now reopened but trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 120 minutes, cancelled or revised as a result. This includes trains travelling between Liverpool Lime Street and London Euston.

The following routes are impacted: Avanti West Coast between Edinburgh / Glasgow Central / Blackpool North / Preston / Manchester Piccadilly / Liverpool Lime Street / Chester / Holyhead / Crewe / Wrexham General / Wolverhampton / Birmingham New Street and London Euston.

London Northwestern Railway between Crewe / Birmingham New Street / Coventry / Northampton / Milton Keynes Central / Bletchley and London Euston are also affected.
