Police descended on the road after the crash

A man on an e-bike was hit by a car after riding away from a police car. The incident happened on Lawrence Road, Wavertree, just before 3.25pm today, Friday, January 3.
The man on the bike made off from a patrol on Lawrence Road just before he was involved in a crash with a black Citreon Picasso, police said. He is currently receiving medical attention at the scene and police enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage which may help with the investigation is asked to DM police on X @MerPolCC quoting reference 552 of 3 January or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
