Police and fire crews were scrambled to a Midlothian shopping park after smoke was seen billowing from a takeaway unit.
Around 12 firefighters were called to Staiside Court in Bonnyrigg shortly after 9am on Tuesday, January 7, after the blaze erupted at Side Street Burger next to Tesco Express.
Images from the scene show the car park to the surrounding shops taped off with smoke coming from the entrance to the burger joint as firefighters continued to extinguish the blaze.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed multiple calls were made to attend the incident before three pump appliances were dispatched to the ground floor unit.
There were no reports of injuries and the fire is believed to have originated from the kitchen. The owner of the property was also present during the incident.
