A motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a crash on a Cambridgeshire town road. The crash happened on Monday (January 13).
Emergency services, including police and ambulance, were called to the junction of Gaul Road on the A141 in March at around 5pm. The crash was a single vehicle incident, involving a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, an adult man, was taken to hospital for further assessment and treatment. The road was closed, but reopened around an hour later.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “Police were called just before 5pm to a single vehicle incident on the Isle of Ely Way near Tesco involving a motorcycle. It was at the junction of Gaul Road on the A141.
“The road was closed at Peashill roundabout and Burrowmoor at 5.20pm and reopened at 6.30pm. An ambulance was called to the scene with reports the rider was injured.”
A spokesperson for East of England Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 4.55pm on Monday 13 January to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike on the A141 in March.
“An ambulance and vehicle with a critical care paramedic were sent to the scene. The motorcyclist, an adult man, was transported to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
