A motorist is set to be reunited with their stolen van – but they’ll find that half of the vehicle is missing. Local officers in the West Midlands were able to recover the vehicle.
Officers based in Bloxwich, Walsall recovered the van whilst out on patrol. West Midlands Police said the vehicle was linked to criminal activity.
A photograph released by West Midlands Police showed the white van with the entirety of its engine bay gutted. A spokesperson for the force said: “Bloxwich Police recovered a van linked to criminal activity after carrying out patrols.

“The community was instrumental in helping us and ensuring the vehicle will be returned to its rightful owner.” Police also highlighted other work officers have carried out.
This included handing out signal-blocking pouches to help prevent vehicle crime and visiting a community centre where a bleed kit has been installed.
The spokesperson said: “Our Brownhills team have been visiting residents in the Pelsall area where they have been providing signal-blocking pouches to help prevent vehicle crime. And our Delves team visited Nash Dom Community Hub in Palfrey to see the new life-saving bleed kit being installed at the building.
“The Delves team including PCSO’s Tim Littlewood and Mo Hafiz have also been out and about speaking to residents with regards to frosty mornings and leaving cars unattended while defrosting their vehicles. There was some really good engagement with residents who were only too happy to take onboard the advice given.”
