Police are investigating after a parked van was “deliberately” set on fire in Glasgow.
The incident happened on Fingal Street at around 5.45am on Thursday, January 2.
No one was injured following the fire, which was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Police are appealing to anyone with information following the incident to come forward, with cops keen to speak to the driver of a white Skoda Octavia that was in the area at the time.
Detective Constable Fraser McGill said: “This was a reckless act and, although no one was injured, nearby vehicles and properties could have been damaged too.
“We are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious to get in touch and for people to check private CCTV.
“Also, if you were driving in the area at the time, please check dash-cams to see if you have captured something that could help with our investigation.
“Our enquiries so far suggest a white Skoda Octavia car was in the area at the time and we are eager to speak to the owner or anyone with knowledge of it.”
Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0448 of Thursday, 2 January, 2025.
