One person has been taken to hospital after 999 crews rushed to the scene of a crash between a car and a motorbike.
Police and paramedics were called to a two-vehicle smash on Norton Road, in Stockton, on Wednesday morning. Police asked drivers to avoid the area and the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) confirmed a patient has been taken to hospital.
A NEAS spokesperson confirmed: “We were called to road traffic collision this morning (January 15) shortly before 8.00am. We dispatched one ambulance crew and one clinical team leader. One patient was taken to North Tees hospital.”
Cleveland Police confirmed they attended the incident shortly before 8.00am. They said: “Shortly before 8am on Wednesday January 15, police were called to a collision on Norton Road near to the junction of Derwent Street in Stockton. The collision involves a motorbike and a car. The road is currently closed and drivers are advised to avoid the area.”
Pictures from the scene show four emergency service vehicles in attendance. A police car and van are stationed next to two ambulance vehicles.
