Tiverton residents are being urged to assist police after a bold burglary on Priory Road left a household reeling on New Year’s night.
Thieves struck during the night of January 1 into the early hours of January 2, making off with a vehicle and personal belongings, according to a statement issued by Tiverton Police.
The authorities have opened an investigation under log reference DCP-20250102-0130 and are appealing for information from anyone who may have noticed suspicious behaviour in the area in the days leading up to the incident.
“This burglary has disrupted the start of the new year for a local family, and we are determined to bring those responsible to justice,” the statement read. Police have urged witnesses to come forward online, by phone, or by visiting the Tiverton Public Enquiry Office, quoting crime reference number 50250000747.
Residents are reminded to remain vigilant and report any unusual activity to aid the investigation. The stolen vehicle and other items remain unaccounted for, raising concerns about further criminal activity in the area.
