Police hunt man who slashed tyres of parked car in Hartlepool

Police are hunting a man who slashed the tyres of a parked car in Hartlepool.

Cleveland Police has released an image of a grey tracksuit-wearing man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident in Avenue Road, around 12.15pm on Sunday, December 29. Officers say a man approached the vehicle, took out a knife and slashed two of its tyres.

A force spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for help as we continue to investigate criminal damage to a vehicle on Avenue Road in Hartlepool. A male in a grey tracksuit approached the parked car and slashed two tyres with a knife. He then ran off down Errol Street.

“We would appeal for anyone who can identify the male in the photo or who has any information to help ongoing enquiries to contact Cleveland Police online via the website, or by phoning 101. Please quote reference SE24244435.
