Police hunt pair after thieves take £250 in stock and drive off in Mercedes

A man and woman are wanted for questioning after more than £250 worth of stock went missing from a Harrogate garage.

North Yorkshire Police have released CCTV pictures of a man and a woman they want to talk to after items were stolen from a BP garage on Leeds Road in Pannel. A man and a woman took £279-worth of stock from the shelves and left without paying before driving off in a Mercedes Benz.

The theft happened at around 12.15pm on Sunday, December 15. The thieves were then seen driving away in a Mercedes Benz.

A spokesperson said: “We’ve issued this CCTV of a man and a woman we would like to speak to, following a shop theft in Harrogate.

“It happened at approximately 12:15hrs on Sunday 15 December 2024 at the BP Garage on Leeds Road in Pannal.

“A man and woman entered the store and left with £279.05 worth of stock without making an attempt to pay. They then left the area in a Mercedes Benz – C Class in Silver, registration MJ04 LCP.

“Please contact us if you recognise the people pictured on CCTV, as they may have information that will assist our investigation.
