Dramatic scenes have unfolded across Leicestershire as rising flood waters continue to wreak havoc throughout the county. Photos taken across the county have captured the full scale of disruption as several major routes remain completely submerged.
Aerial photographs reveal the devastating impact of the flooding, with vast swathes of farmland transformed into lakes and numerous vehicles stranded in deep water. Multiple communities have faced severe disruption, with Leicestershire Police confirming several key routes remain “completely impassable.”

Emergency services say they have been inundated with calls from affected residents as water levels continue to rise in multiple locations. A spokesperson for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said crews had responded to dozens of flood-related incidents since yesterday (January 7).
