A student was stabbed by two masked men during two attacks in Nottingham city centre. The victim, aged 21, was first attacked on Broad Street, in the Hockley area of Nottingham, by two masked men.
He managed to flee but was then attacked again in nearby Carlton Street. The attackers fled the scene and the student was taken to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries, which were not life-threatening.
An investigation has been launched into the incident and officers have carried out a number of lines of inquiry to identify the suspects. The incident took place in the early hours of November 2, 2024.
A CCTV clip has now been released by the police, capturing the two people the force wish to trace, as they are believed to be able to help officers with their investigation. One of the men is seen wearing a Trapstar coat with orange lettering on the back.
Police staff investigator Jayne Walker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Luckily, the victim was not seriously injured. However, this does not take away how seriously we are treating this incident.
“Violence such as this is completely unacceptable and we are determined to catch those responsible and ensure they are put before the courts. We have released images of two people who could help us with our enquiries.
“We are calling on the public’s help to identify them. We appreciate their faces cannot be seen, however we are appealing for anyone who may recognise them from their clothing to please come forward with any information they have to help us identify them.
“Do you know who they are? Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
