Teenager fighting for his life after stabbing near Woolwich Common

An 18-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after a stabbing in South London yesterday afternoon (Monday, January 6). Police were called to Prince Imperial Road, near Woolwich Common, at 4.20pm to reports of the attack.

The teenage victim was found with serious injuries by emergency services, who rushed him to hospital. He remains in a critical condition.

The Metropolitan Police has launched a probe into the knife attack, although no arrests have been made so far. Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

A force spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 4.20pm on Monday, January 6 to reports of a stabbing in Prince Imperial Road. Officers responded to the scene and found an 18-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.

“He was treated at the location before being transported to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference CAD 4354. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.”
