Police are appealing for witnesses after a 20-year-old man died at the scene of a crash in Staffordshire. Officers have warned Sutton Road, in Mile Oak, is set to remain shut for ‘a number of hours’ as an investigation into the fatal collision continues.
StokeonTrentLive reported how three ambulances had been sent to the scene at around 6.40am where emergency services found a collision between a silver Ford Fiesta and a white BMW coupe.
Sadly the driver of the Ford, a 20-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile the BMW driver, a 27-year-old man, was ‘treated by medics for injuries not believed to be serious’ before he was taken to Good Hope Hospital.
Staffordshire Police’s specialist collision investigators are at the scene where the route is to remain closed off. The force says the closure is in place at the junctions of Slade Road, Bassets Pole and Drayton Lane.
