Two more teens arrested after machete found following alleged break-in

Two more teenagers have been arrested in connection with an alleged break-in at a Nottingham flat after a machete was seized. Officers were called to Bracebridge Drive in Bilborough at around 9.25pm on Sunday, January 12, after a group of youths were seen trying to flee from the address.

Three suspects aged 15, 15 and 16 were detained initially following a search of the area, while a machete was also found inside a bag within the flat. Officers have now arrested two further suspects, aged 15 and 16.

All five boys have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. One of the 15-year-olds arrested initially has also been detained on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug after cannabis was found during searches.

“We’d continue to urge anyone with additional information or relevant footage of the incident to come forward without delay.”
