Two people have been rescued from a multi-vehicle car crash near Tenterden and taken to hospital this afternoon (Monday, January 6). Emergency services rushed to the scene on the A28 Tenterden Road in Rolvenden at around 12pm following reports of a collision involving two cars.
Officers from Kent Police were joined by South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) paramedics and Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) crews. Two fire engines attended and the road was subsequently shut in both directions between Mounts Lane and Halden Lane.
KFRS crews worked to successfully free two people from one of the involved vehicles before they were passed into the care of paramedics. A spokesperson for SECAmb said: “SECAmb was called at approximately 12 pm today (06/01/25) to attend a RTC on Tenterden Road.
“Two patients were transported to William Harvey Hospital, one of whom sustained more serious injuries. The air ambulance team assisted in our vehicle to provide additional care during the journey to the hospital.”
At the time of writing, the A28 Tenterden Road remains closed in both directions and all future updates to this incident will be shared to our live blog here.
