Two people were seriously injured after a crash on the A47 in Cambridgeshire. The incident involving three vehicles took place at around 4.50pm on Sunday (January 12) between Eye and Thorney.
Police officers have appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage. A Silver Nissan Juke and black Lexus IS, both travelling westbound, were involved in a crash with a black Ford Kuga, travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Nissan, a 32-year-old woman from Hatfield in Hertfordshire, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries. The woman driving the Kuga, a 35 year old from King’s Lynn in Norfolk, was also taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries.
The Lexus driver, a 24-year-old woman from Peterborough, suffered minor injuries. One of the casualties was cut out of their vehicle by firefighters, with crews from Thorney and Dogsthorpe attending.
Sergeant Mark Atkins said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen, or has dashcam footage of, the vehicles involved before the collision or the collision itself.”
Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage can report it through the force website using reference CC-12012025-0267. Those without internet access can call 101.
