Urgent search for missing schoolgirls who ‘could have left country together’

Police are searching for a pair of missing teenage girls who are believed to be together. Ella, 16, from Rudeley, was last seen just after 7.30am on Tuesday, January 14.

Paige, 17, from Stafford, was last seen on Monday, January 13. Officers think that the duo may have left England and got a train to Rhyl in Wales on Wednesday, January 15.

Ella is described as around 5ft 6ins tall, of a large build with shoulder length brown hair which is sometimes tied back. She has blue eyes and piercings on her nose and ears and is known to wear rings.

She was last seen wearing a school uniform and a light brown hoodie and was carrying a black rucksack with white stars on it. Paige is described as around 5ft 4ins tall, of a slim build with very long dark brown hair and brown eyes.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “We’re concerned about the whereabouts of two girls from Staffordshire and we need your help in trying to find them. Paige, 17, from Stafford, and Ella, 16, from Rugeley, are believed to be missing together.

“Paige was last seen at her home on Monday (13 January) at 10pm. Ella was last seen at her home at 7.34am the next morning (Tuesday, January 14). We believe they may have gone by train to Rhyl in North Wales yesterday (Wednesday, January 15).”

Police are not sure what Paige was wearing when she was last seen. They added: “If you know where they are or if you have any information about their whereabouts, call us on 101 or use Live Chat on our website.”
