Two vehicles were seized on New Year’s Day after reports of antisocial driving in and around Middlesbrough estates led to increased Cleveland Police patrols.
It comes following reports of continuous antisocial driving in the Saltersgill and Grove Hill areas. The vehicles – a Kia Picanto and a Vauxhall Corsa – were located on Tranter Road by MATRIX officers on Wednesday, January 1 and subsequently seized.
Sergeant Laura Black, from the MATRIX team, said: “We’re aware of concerns from residents on the manner of driving in and around the Saltersgill and Grovehill area. Following this we have increased our patrols resulting in the seizure of a vehicle that had been driving antisocially.
“This activity will continue, and I want to take this opportunity to encourage members of the public to keep reporting this behaviour so we can keep taking action.”
If you have information or have witnessed antisocial driving, please report it either by calling Cleveland Police on 101 or visiting the website. You can also report information anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
