Video shows huge warehouse fire in Nazeing as smoke billows into sky prompting warning

Video footage shows a warehouse in an Essex village completely on fire and multiple fire engines attending the scene. Essex County Fire and Rescue Service are attending the scene in Nazeing this afternoon (January 15) with at least four different fire engines in attendance.

The incident has taken place at a warehouse in Stubbins Hall Lane to the south of the village near the border with Hertfordshire. Thick smoke is rising from the warehouse, which looks to be completely alight in the footage shot by resident Paul Wood.

The footage shows the roof of the warehouse and next-door building completely alight, with the interior severely damaged. Firefighters are warning people to avoid the area and stay indoors if they live close by.

A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are in attendance at a warehouse fire in Stubbins Hall Lane, Nazeing. The fire is producing a lot of smoke, so please keep your doors and windows closed if you live in the area, and stay inside if possible.”

It is not yet known what has caused the incident but no one is believed to be injured. All roads are open as usual and there is little impact on traffic. However, people are advised to avoid Stubbins Hall Lane due to the disruption caused by the fire.
