Woman, 42, charged after Aberdeen police seize heroin and cocaine worth £11.5k

A woman has been arrested and charged after drugs with an estimated value of around £11,500 were recovered from a vehicle in Aberdeen.

The 42-year-old woman was charged after officers from Police Scotland, acting on intelligence, stopped a vehicle on Clarke Street at around 8.20pm yesterday (Tuesday, January 7).

Quantities of cocaine and heroin were discovered alongside a three-figure sum of cash were recovered.

The woman is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today (Wednesday, January 8).

Detective Constable Lindsay Hellings said: “This recovery underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.

“Anyone who has concerns or information about the supply of drugs in their area can contact Police Scotland via 101. Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
