Woman, 70s, dies after crash where car struck wall in Surrey car park

A woman has died after a crash in an Epsom car park. Police are re-appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in the Ashley Centre car park at around 2.50pm on Saturday, January 4.

Officers were called after receiving a report of a car colliding with a wall in the car park. Sadly, and despite best efforts of paramedics, the driver, a woman in her 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

While investigations into the circumstances of the crash were carried out the car park was closed for an extended period. Surrey Police confirmed shortly after 6pm on Saturday ( January 4) that the car park had been re-opened.

Surrey Police is looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or have any dashcam that may have captured the incident.
