A woman in her 70s has died after a crash in Epsom over the weekend. Officers were called to reports of a car colliding with a wall in in the Ashley Centre car park in Epsom at around 2.50pm on Saturday 4 January.
Surrey Police said that despite best efforts of paramedics, the driver, a woman in her 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Police are re-appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash. A spokesperson for the force said: “Our thoughts remain with [her family].
“We are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or have any dashcam that may have captured the incident. If you have any information that might assist our investigation, please get in touch quoting PR/45250001256 via Webchat, online reporting tool or calling us on 101.”

While investigations into the circumstances of the crash were carried out the car park was closed for an extended period on Saturday. Surrey Police confirmed shortly after 6pm on Saturday that the car park had been re-opened.
