A woman in her 40s has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a bus in East London. Emergency services were called to a crash at the junction of Windmill Lane and Leyton Road in Newham.
The woman was taken to hospital where her injuries have since been assessed as not life-threatening. The bus stopped at the scene of the crash.
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue. Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact police and quote CAD4411/5Jan.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 18:20hrs on Sunday, 5 January to reports of a collision involving a bus and a female pedestrian in Windmill Lane, junction of Leyton Road, E15.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the pedestrian, aged in her 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not life threatening.
“The bus stopped at the scene. There has been no arrest and enquiries continue.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident and can assist police is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD4411/5Jan.”
