Woman injured after being hit by car in Coventry

A woman was left injured after being hit by a car in Coventry. It happened in Holbrooks yesterday afternoon (January 15).

Paramedics were called to the incident at around 2.10pm. Police also attended and blocked off Wheelwright Lane at the junction with Nunts Lane.

Officers found that a woman, who has not been identified, had been hit by a car and sustained injuries. She received treatment at the scene and was taken to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave.

In a statement issued today (January 16), West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an RTC between a car and pedestrian near the junction of Nunts Lane and Wheelwright Lane at 2.10pm yesterday (January 15).

“Crews discovered one patient, a woman who was the pedestrian, and she was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”

A spokesman for West Midlands Police added: “We were called to an RTC on Wheelwright Lane in Coventry at around 2.15pm yesterday (January 15). A woman sustained injuries not believed to be serious.”
