Kent Police are investigating an assault and a separate disturbance in Canterbury, reported in the early hours of Sunday, January 5. It was reported to Kent Police at 2.11am that a woman had been approached in Military Road by a man who was unknown to her and who demanded she give him her purse.
The victim sustained facial injuries having been assaulted before she was able to leave the area in a vehicle with a third person. The suspect was described as white, in his early 20s and of slim build, with medium length dark hair, wearing a hoody and a silver chain and carrying a small ‘Nike’ bag.
At around the same time, a report was made to police of a disturbance in which a man had made threats to two men outside an address on Starle Close. The men were able to go into a nearby property and the man left the scene on foot, according to Kent Police.
Police are appealing to anyone with relevant information about either incident, including private CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.
