A woman has been seriously injured in a crash outside a pub in the Black Country. She was riding a motorbike when it collided with a car on Moseley Road in Bilston.
Medics rushed to the scene outsdie The Grapes Bar and Grill just before 2pm today (Tuesday, January 7). Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma team of medics attended with the first ambulance arriving on scene within six minutes of the 999 call being made.
The motorsyclist was stabalised at the scene and given trauma care by paramedics before being rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The male driver of the car was also hurt in the crash and was taken to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton for treatment.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “The motorcyclist, a woman, had sustained serious injuries in the collision. The team of medics worked together to administer trauma care to her to help stabilise her condition on scene before she was alerted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency treatment.”
They added: “The driver of the car, a man, was assessed by ambulance staff and was taken to New Cross Hospital for further treatment of his injuries.”
