Woolwich bus stabbing sees boy, 14, die – live updates

A 14-year-old boy ha died following a fatal stabbing onboard a bus on Woolwich Church Road this afternoon (Tuesday, January 7) A police cordon and road closures remain in place in the area.

The boy sadly died from stab injuries shortly after medics arrived at around 2.30pm. The incident occurred on the number 472 bus on Woolwich Church Road near the junction with the A205 South Circular Road.

While no arrests have yet been made, investigations are underway. Several London bus routes are also on diversion. These include the number 161, 177, 180 and 472.

The incident follows a stabbing yesterday in Woolwich which has left a Year 12 student at Shooters Hill Sixth Form College fighting for his life in hospital. It is unknown if the incidents are related. Follow our live blog below for updates.
