Worldwide missing appeal shows person last seen taking bus to Galway

A fresh appeal is being made on what is the fifth anniversary of French national Christophe Goutte, who was last seen boarding a bus bound for Galway.

Mr Goutte had lived in Midleton at the time of his vanishing and was last seen leaving his place of work in Carrigtwohill at approximately 11am on January 15, 2020.

It’s believed that he boarded a bus at Parnell Station in Cork City that was destined for Galway where he got off at around 5:35pm

He’s described as being 5’8 in height, of a stocky build, with short brown hair and a sallow complexion.

Now, gardai in Cork are making fresh appeals for information on the fifth anniversary of his disappearance.

Mr Goutte was last seen wearing a black coat, black pants, a black woollen hat and a pair of brown boots.

Mr Goutte was also in possession of a dark-coloured overall bag.

Gardai are appealing to people in Galway City or the surrounding areas to report any recent potential sightings of Mr Goutte. The investigation into his disappearance is active and ongoing.

Although Mr Goutte’s family do not live in Ireland, a French liaison officer has been in touch with them.

The liaison officer is keeping the family updated with any developments in the case.

Anyone who may have information on Mr Goutte’s movements at the time of his disappearance, or on his current whereabouts, is asked to contact the gardaí in Cobh on 021-490-8530, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any garda station.
