A group of youths battered a teenage boy before bottling a Good Samaritan in a horrific attack in Glasgow city centre.
Video shared online shows the gang of seven piling on the teenage boy outside McDonald’s on Sauchiehall Street on Tuesday night (January 7). The boy was knocked to the ground before the gang continued laying into him with punches.
A group of girls, clutching bottles of Buckfast, watch on laughing as one youth kicks the boy’s head and another smacks him with a bottle. A man wearing shorts is seen running across the street to help the boy, but the gang turns on him, the Daily Record reports.
In the footage, it appears the man is struck with a bottle of Buckfast as glass is heard smashing. The incident took place between 7pm and 8pm on Tuesday. One eyewitness said: “I was in the McDonalds and I heard the two lads beside me talking about a fight they were just in (that one in the vid) 10 minutes ago.”
Police Scotland said the force had received no reports about the incident.
